So you can make this delicious bread pulao in just a few minutes from those leftover breads. You can also use leftover cooked veg sabji or leftover cooked meat pieces in this recipe. You can also use leftover vegetables from your refrigerator. You may have two three pieces of beans, carrots, cauliflower or broccoli leftover in the refrigerator. INGREDIENTS:
- 4 pieces of bread slices
- 1/2 cup chopped vegetables ( carrot, french beans, cabbage, cauliflower etc.)
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 small tomato chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- Salt to taste
METHOD:
- Cut the bread pieces in small cube sized pieces.
- In a pan heat oil. Add chopped onions. Fry till light brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes. Fry till oil separates.
- Add vegetables. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well. In medium heat cook for some time by covering the lid.
- Add bread pieces. Mix well.
- Add tomato sauce. Add 1 tbsp water if required so that bread pieces absorb all the masalas and tomato sauce.
- Add garam masala. Mix well.
- Remove from heat. Serve hot with a cup of tea
